There is a great deal more to aging than simply the natural "process".
Each of our genetic structures have a bit to do with how we age,
however, many of us accelerate this process through lifestyle choices,
stress levels, smoking, weight, and exposure to sunlight.
Current research indicates that through these habits or lifestyle
choices, we expose our bodies to something called "free radical"
damage. Molecules actually attack the DNA of our bodies and have
been linked to the genesis of most of our debilitating diseases.
Nature has given our bodies a natural defense to this external
attack--and these are known as anti-oxidants. Where can we find
antioxidants? Vitamins.
However, the consensus today is that we do not get sufficient intake
of healthy foods that contain these essential, antioxidant vitamins
to ward off damage resulting from free radicals. A typical adult
will (or should) get many antioxidants through a normal meal, however
the ACE vitamins, (A, C & E) are less likely to be consumed
in sufficient quantities.
The solution to help fight biological aging and free radical damage
lies in
effective supplementation. It is projected the
almost half of the population in the United States takes supplements. According to Consumer Reports that amounts to over $27 billion.
Even the AMA finally after years or saying vitamins were not necessary, evidence shows now most people don't get enough nutrition in to meet the RDAs. (which by the way are designed to prevent Scurvy & Rickets) This is a far cry from what most research is suggestion.
Wouldn't be helpful if you knew that the vitamins you were taking were actually doing their job? You might want to read up on a few disruptive device that can measure their effectiveness. You may read about about
this new device called the Scanner by clicking here. The scanner was recently featured on the Dr. Oz TV show. View the Bio-Photonic segment by clicking here.

Genetic Research and Anti-Aging.
The world is population is steadily growing older, so we're living longer, but ask yourself:
Are we really living better?
Do we look and feel younger?
For most of us, the acerated lifestyle has not only created its own stresses, but can often lead to accerating the aging.
Baby boomers are creating an entirely new paradigm shift about aging. For them, 60 is considered the new 40. One company has brought a unique approach to improve lives by how we look and feel. Their innovation of technology that target aging at its source spans both skin care and nutritional support.
Watch a clip from a clinical trials on this new research.
Interestingly enough, this breakthrough technology began from other research at Prudue University for skin cancer. It resulted in identifying an enzyme called arNOX which was a super free radical generator. It accelerated the aging of the skin. Scientist were excited to uncover clues into the world of biological aging. Eventually, this lead to genetics and the identification of something know as Youth Gene Clusters of YGCs. These genes can be affected to express themselves in a more youthful state.
Stay tuned as this break through research continues.

There has been a revision
of the food pyramid along with recommendations that everyone begin
to take a supplement to round out their nutritional profile to makeup
what they don't get in their food.
Supplements
First off, according to USDA, less than 9% of
the U.S. population actually get adequate nutrition through foods
they eat. Understand, this is to just to meet what is commonly known
as "recommended daily allowances" or RDA's. It is also
necessary to understand that these RDA's were established during
a time of rationing in America. Approximately 60 years ago, it was
determined how much foods could be restricted before people would
harm their health! In other words, to decide what the BARE MINIMUMS
were for a healthy adult.
Secondly, our food sources are being engineered to be able to
withstand long shipping across country and mechanical processing
since human labor is being replaced by more machines in today's
"agribusiness". For example, the peaches we buy at the
market look great, but are as hard as rocks. Leaving them on the
counter to soften only succeeds in the peach staying hard but rots
from the inside out--meanwhile many of the nutrients and vitamins
are lost.
Thirdly, consider that the same 4% of the land in the U.S. is
used for food production. That available land for food production
has not changed much in the last 50 years except to get smaller--and
yet food production has increased dramatically. According to the
USDA, there are larger pockets of soil that do not even have certain
minerals left in them. If the ground supporting crops lack nutrients,
our fresh foods are going to suffer.
Okay, so you've guessed, I am "one of those" - an advocate
of using supplements. But not only taking supplements,
I also want to make sure whatever I am taking will actually do what
I take it for. That is, giving my body nutrition protection. I also
want to have something that has been backed by clinical studies
in peer review journals like, JAMA, and has sufficient science behind
it. So, here's my recommendation.
